Starhawk will take part in the Green Festival. In addition to lecture and booksigning, look for her at the Earth Activist Training booth.
“Making the Transition”
Climate change calls us to make an enormous transition very rapidly—changing our economy, our energy systems, our food growing systems, our patterns of work, socializing and play—and doing it now, not sometime in the vague future. But how do we do it? What do we say “no” to—and even more importantly, how do we say “yes” to a clear vision of the future we want to create? Drawing on her decades of practice in earth-based spirituality, activism and permaculture, Starhawk outlines the principles, policies and practices that lead to true abundance and resilience.
Booksigning to follow.
Time: lecture 2:00 p.m.; booksigning 3:00 p.m.
Festival location: San Francisco Concourse, 635 8th St (at Brannan St)
Cost: $15/day all events, discounts for seniors, students, bus and bike riders; kids under 18 free.
