“Earth Magic Panel”
Discussion with Caroline Casey, Starhawk, and others.
This panel will explore how we can call back the exiled coherence of the elements and elemental life forms to assist us in reclaiming our habitat and eco-system, planet Earth. We have lost sight of the nourishment we receive from the Earth physically, emotionally and spiritually. Nature is being compromised and pushed further back into the mists of time. Hear from this panel of inner and outer realm pioneers how we can engage our human spirits with the spirit of the earth to strengthen and rebalance our connection to the source of our existence and the perfection of our natural eco-system.The discussion will include topic from ancient and modern day alchemical systems Permaculture, Feng Shui, Plant Spirit Medicine, Geomancy and Communing with Faeries.
Time: 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Room: Plaza Ballroom

Sunday workshop at Expo
“Lessons from The Fifth Sacred Thing”
What would it look like if we based our culture on respect for the elements that sustain life; if earth, air, fire and water were sacred? Imagine a culture where human creativity and diversity were cherished. Popular culture abounds with post-apocalyptic disaster stories, but offers us few images of a positive future here on earth. Yet if we can’t even imagine a just, balanced and flourishing future, how can we create it? Two visions of the future clash In Starhawk’s novel, The Fifth Sacred Thing, now in development as a feature film. What can it teach us about how we avoid disaster and mobilize our creativity and our courage to create the world we want to live in?
Time: 12-1:30 p.m.,
Room: Los Angeles Room
Cost: day pass plus $20 in advance – $25 at the door

“Healing Stories for the New Era”
2012 has come and gone, and a new era is beginning, or so we hope. But how do we create a regenerative, transformative future for ourselves, our communities and our world?
Magic tells us that to make a change, we must first envision it. We must tell the tale, and then make it real. Stories tell us who we are and who we can be. They can limit us or liberate us. The stories we tell are integrally part of the magic we weave, for they determine what images fill our minds, what possibilities we believe in, what forces we set in motion.
In this workshop, we use meditation, trance, and ritual to identify our own underlying stories, personal and collective, and transform them into tales of liberation that can heal the world (and us, too!)
Time: 12:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Room: Pacific Ballroom
Cost: $55.00 in advance – $75.00 at door
